Day 4 of “How to Avoid Being an Accidental Racist.”

Today, we address “Why It is Important to Know and Understand Racism.”

In this 4th video of 30 days of “How to Avoid Being an Accidental Racist,” we explore why it is important to know and understand racism. It is part of the patriarchal structure. White women (my main audience) are high up on the ladder of hierarchies. If you do not understand where you are on this ladder, and how it shapes your context, you will never understand racism and will continue to be anything from an overt racist to an accidental racist.

What made you come alive in this video? What are your questions? What did you learn? Did you take the action step? Please leave a comment and share with others. Thank you for being here.
