This Community will meet monthly online on the second Thursday of the Month
at 6:30 p.m. Eastern
and on the fourth Wednesday of the month at noon Eastern.
A community of practice is a group of people who share a common concern, a set of problems, or an interest in a topic and who come together to fulfill both individual and group goals. This Community of Practice is designed to heal our respective racial identities and give us the capacity to compassionately build inclusive communities.
In this group, we intentionally come together to create a co-learning community. We can be vulnerable and brave. We can share our missteps and support others in their growth as well. We can make inquiries about new truths and create the space to hold hard truths about ourselves and the larger world.
We will relearn some of the previous materials we covered in the course taught by Iyabo Onipede, Expanding Dignity: Unpacking Race and Cultuer. We will integrate the learning with the books and film as we deepen and embrace new identities.
This is a structured class media group. We will be working through the material and have a schedule ahead of time. We will discuss the readings as they help us develop liberative identities. This will not be a passive learning opportunity and I expect full participation of all of us.
We need a digital space where we can share without reservation. We will support each other. Our expectation is that all of us will engage with each other to support our mutual growth and develop community.

The value of this class is $75.00 a month. However, if you would like to contribute $25, $50, or $75 to another person’s accessibility, I have created those additional buttons below. If you need the support of the options, please let me know.
For instance, if you can only afford $50 and someone else is paying $100 to benefit another, then you will be supported in your accessibility into the group. Neither one of you will know what the other person is doing to support our mutual growt.
If you need the partial or full scholarship, email me at hello@iamiyabo.com and I will send you to a different link.
